New Delhi, July17:Xiaomi is all set to launch its Mi Max 2 smartphone in India on July 18 for under Rs 20,000. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage.
The report also reveals that the alleged higher edition of the Xiaomi 5X will flaunt a rear dual camera setup consisting of two 12MP sensors (a Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5k3m3 sensor). Looking at the leaked pictures, it seems that the smartphone is following it's Chinese counterparts and will have a iPhonesque design. Also, there will be a 16MP selfie camera. On the software front, the Redmi 5 will run company's MIUI 9.0 custom UI skin (yet to be announced), based on Google's Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
That's not everything we know of the smartphone. However, it will most likely end up being 1080p, as many other mid-range phones from Xiaomi and other popular Chinese brands come in at this resolution. Redmi 5 has been subjected to multiple leaks ahead of its official debut which does reveal a gist of all the specifications and features about the upcoming Xiaomi device.
The pricing of Redmi 5 has also been leaked by the source, as per which 3GB RAM + 16GB ROM will be priced at 859 Yuan, 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM will be priced at 1039 Yuan.
So you've had your eye on the new Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone and think it's possibly your next buy, eh? So, we aren't sure about the authencity of the newly leaked poster, and chances are that the specs might change in the final product. That means you can either use this as a dual-SIM phone without memory card option or single-SIM phone with memory card option. Besides that, Xiaomi is rumoured to announce a new sub-brand, targeting the offline market. Reports from the past suggest that it will probably support full HD resolution.
