Warm, sunny Sunday before possible hazardous thunderstorms and showers Monday

With the heat and humidity and also a cold front expected to track through, we develop a chance of storms this afternoon. The I-25 corridor should stay mostly dry, but a few storms still could cross over on to the interstate this evening.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy with a pop up shower or storm.

Tuesday through Sunday, showers and storms are expected during the afternoon and evening with highs in the 80s and 90s.

The NWS says that Sunday will be sunny, with a high near 83 degrees. Monday will feature party sunny skies with isolated thunderstorms and highs in the upper 80s.

The heating of the day along with the front is what could give us a few strong to severe storms. The location of the ridge will still allow for scattered rain & storms to end the week.

Tonight.Mostly cloudy with chance for showers and thunderstorms even through the overnight hours.

Dry for the rest of the workweek with highs in the upper 90s. The next chance for widespread rain is not likely to come until the beginning of next week.

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy and warm.

Thursday night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of rain 60 percent. Tiny rain chance. Lows in low to mid 70s.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 96.
