Twitter reaction: Wild day of trades has Browns fans losing their heads

Assuming the Browns get the chance to draft NC State DE Bradley Chubb, Alabama DB Minkah Fitzpatrick, and other top-tier players, Cleveland should not hesitate to make the pick. Sam Darnold is the leader on the backstretch to be the top pick, with Josh Allen a length behind. Barkley is being hailed as a once-in-a-generation type of physical, athletic talent.

On Friday March 10, the Cleveland Browns made 3 trades, which was unexpected because the team had only made 4 trades from March 9, 2017 to March 8, 2018.

Kizer was drafted in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Browns.

But Taylor now fills that veteran role, and the Browns can use one of their two first-round picks to take a franchise quarterback to build around for the future.

That said, crazier things have happened during the draft, especially with the Browns.

Or that Dorsey benefits from his plan. The Browns are thought to be considering drafting a quarterback with one of their first-round picks. He's careful with the ball, but the criticism of him is he can be too careful and overemphasize the checkdown. Their need for taking a QB No. 1 is no longer dire.

In a sense, the addition of Taylor over a player like Cincinnati's AJ McCarron shows the Browns believe in the players available in the draft.

As it turns out, the 25-year-old also has a new position. He also caught a career-high nine touchdowns.

Even with the arrival of Landry, who led the National Football League with 112 catches last season, the Browns still need help at receiver, especially because there is no guarantee 2016 first-round selection Corey Coleman will be able to earn his keep after two disappointing seasons plagued by broken hands.

Worley had three interceptions and 19 pass breakups with the Panthers. If he plays every game the way he did against Gordon, this trade would be a steal. Green Bay's Davon House knows Dorsey, assistant GM Eliot Wolf and vice president of player personnel Alonzo Highsmith from his days with the Packers, and he played under defensive backs coach DeWayne Walker for two seasons with the Jaguars. At this rate, free agency will be a letdown compared to the prequel. If he does end up getting dealt, the Browns could look at Taylor's former teammate Sammy Watkins or possibly Paul Richardson from the Seattle Seahawks.

The Browns earlier sent a third-round pick to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Tyrod Taylor (sorry, Tyrod).

But Dorsey did not risk being rebuffed in free agency and winding up empty. With the recent acquisition of Tyrod Taylor though, the Browns suddenly are not starving at the quarterback position.

This one-afternoon flurry of moves won't take the Browns from 0-16 to the playoffs, but it did fill some holes. However, taking a running back with the first pick is not a logical move.
