Tom Cruise injured in filming 'Mission: Impossible' stunt

Mission: Impossible 6 star Tom Cruise limped away following what appears to be a stunt gone wrong. The stunt was rigged leap stunt onto a building, but Cruise fell short of the mark and hit the building hard instead of landing on the other side.

However the fearless jump is misjudged as the 55-year-old slams into a building and is momentarily left hanging in the air. Per a video released via TMZ on August 13, #TomCruise is seen performing a stunt where he has to jump from a rig to a rooftop while assisted by safety wires.

From his iconic role as rogue fighter pilot Maverick in Top Gun to his badass Ethan Hunt in the long-running Mission, Impossible franchise, Tom Cruise really knows his way around an action movie.

After he finished the take, Cruise is seen limping, though he was able to rappel back to the building he jumped from.

A request for comment from Cruise's rep wasn't immediately returned.

The 55-year-old actor is well known for doing quite a few of his own stunts, including some notable moments in his past involving pretty scary situations.

Mission Impossible 6 is now being filmed in London and will also star Henry Cavill, Rebecca Ferguson, Angela Bassett and Alec Baldwin.

Mission: Impossible 6 is now expected to hit theaters on July 27, 2018.
