Tom Cruise Apparently Injured Performing 'Mission: Impossible 6' Stunt

The extent of his injuries remains unclear.

But this weekend, while filming Mission, Impossible 6 in London, one of the stunts took a super scary turn, when Cruise attempted to jump between two buildings but didn't quite make it.

And while the last thing he probably wants to do is glide through the air between two buildings again, his only way to treatment is to be pulled on his harness back to the scaffolding, where other members of the team help him as he limps away. It captures a tethered Cruise leaping to a building, hitting its side and then crawling over the top and running away.

The 55-year-old actor is well known for performing many of his own stunts.

The film, the sixth instalment in the "Mission: Impossible" franchise, is being directed by Christopher McQuarrie. However, as mentioned, the situation does seem serious and that could have a very real impact on the filming process.

According to The Telegraph in London, Cruise has been filming the latest installation of the action series in an unknown part of London, with some on social media saying the film has been set on the Thames' northern banks. We'll keep you updated as new information comes out.

Mission: Impossible 6, starring Cruise, Simon Pegg, Henry Cavill, Alec Baldwin and Michelle Monaghan, is slated to hit theaters July 27, 2018.
