Tim Tebow's Famous John 3:16 Eye Blacks Mocked by Charleston RiverDogs

We were due for some embarrassing Tebow moments in his minor league career, given the way he's managed to avoid complete failure for the Fireflies this season.

The former National Football League quarterback, who once flirted with the idea of a position change, committed another random act of baseball comedy Saturday in the Columbia Fireflies' game against the Charleston RiverDogs.

Every time someone from Tebow's team was up at bat, the jumbotron read "Not Tim Tebow" with the photo of crying Tim in the background of the player hitting.

Tebow's Columbia Fireflies, a Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, were in town to play the RiverDogs, a Class A Yankees farm team, in a three-game series.

Charlie T. RiverDog showed off on his Twitter account with several trolls Saturday.

Throughout the years, Tebow has been vocal about the impact of his decision to wear a scripture on his eye black in such a highly publicized college championship game.

Tebow let go of the baseball bat on one of his swings Saturday. "Go do it and he believes in me", Tebow said of his father's message about playing baseball. It's good stuff. It'll help you keep a good grip on that bat. The Fireflies clinch the division and a playoff spot with a win on Sunday.

Matt Frawley (4-1) got the win with two innings of scoreless, one-hit relief while Columbia starter Gabriel Llanes (4-4) took the loss in the South Atlantic League game.
