Tim Hortons' New Buffalo Latte Is Exactly What It Sounds Like

'Tim Hortons and Buffalo sauce were both born in 1964, so why not take these two Buffalo staples and combine them?' says Tim Hortons US regional president Stephen Goldstein.

Pairing the rich flavours of freshly brewed espresso with steamed milk, mocha and buffalo sauce flavour, the innovate drink is a tribute to the town of Buffalo, New York, where the eponymous sauce and wings dish originates. The new drink is meant to highlight Tim Horton's new lineup of espresso drinks that include Americanos, cappuccinos and lattes.

For a limited time, Tim Horton's is offering Buffalo-flavored lattes in - where else - Buffalo, New York.

The whole thing is then topped off with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkling of 'zesty Buffalo seasoning'.

The drinks will be served at two Buffalo, New York locations from now until October 20.

Stephen Goldstein, regional president of Tim Hortons U.S. said the chain concocted the freakish drink to celebrate the birthplace of the famous wing sauce.

The reactions to this "sweet and spicy treat" have been mixed.

That can't be right... a Buffalo Latte? The rest of the chain's latte flavors are caramel, vanilla, mocha, and of course, pumpkin spice.

Clearly, Tim Hortons think they're onto something here, as the avant-garde meal-turned-latte is being advertised as available "while stocks last".
