This 65-inch OLED TV rolls up like a giant newspaper

That being said, this rollable LG OLED TV feature will certainly pave the way for adoption of similar technology in other consumer electronics segments - particularly smartphones. This new 4K OLED TV will come in two screen sizes 55 inches and 65 inches.

This flexible OLED display panel is attached to a soundbar and can be moved around. Now, the world's first rollable 65-inch 4K OLED display offers a more realistic (yet still kinda crazy) use for OLED tech that's flexible.

LG has also manufactured TVs that will be at the forefront ofCES this year.

Additionally, the CES will witness an upgraded audio complexity of Crystal Sound OLED displays from the existing 2.1 channel sound to 3.1 channel from LG.

LG still hasn't outlined the pricing or release dates for these sets, but it's safe to presume the W8 and E8 will cost a pretty penny while the SK9500 will be (relatively) affordable.

Agility is clearly a running theme among the TV giants this year - Samsung's own wow-factor CES TV reveal was The Wall, a huge 146-inch display that is modular.

Mr Park said enabling all appliances to talk to each other would allow devices to learn user habits and automatically carry out tasks such as controlling heating and re-ordering groceries.

To LG's credit, they seem to have maximized the potential of the OLED technology with the upcoming monitor.

Those with long memories will recall that LG actually showed off a rollable TV screen at CES 2016, but there was one key difference: at 18in, it was smaller than most computer monitors, and wasn't ready for prime position in the living room. The company intends to reveal the OLED Display at the CES in Las Vegas Convention Center's North Hall.

Compatriot Samsung is set to show off new 8K resolution QLED TVs, as well as a 150-inch Micro LED TV at the trade show. Say the fridge knows it contains ingredients for a lasagne; it will heat up the oven accordingly while Amazon Alexa, integrated into the fridge for the first time, will walk you through the recipe with voice instructions. Consumers will also be excited when LG confirms its availability.
