Taco Bell Introduces Nacho Fries to Menu

According to the company, the fries will feature a "bold Mexican seasoning" and include a side of nacho cheese dipping sauce.

The world loves its French fries, but this may be one of the most choice moments in history for a Mexican take on the beloved fried potato strip, and that's exactly what Taco Bell is giving the planet come January 25.

Taco Bell said in early December it would unveil 20 new $1 menu items in test markets and nationwide in 2018.

The changes are created to make Taco Bell more competitive in the so-called Dollar Menu war. Nacho fries were previously offered at overseas locations.

Fast food chains like Taco Bell and Jack In The Box are beefing up their dollar menus to compete with McDonald's. Customers can also order "Supreme" or "Bell Grande" versions for an additional fee.

Taco Bell Nacho Fries will cost just $1.

Taco Bell is firing the latest shot in an ongoing dollar menu battle among fast food chains.

We know that 2018 is going to be a good year for Taco Bell lovers.

The Yum! Brands chain told CNBC that its $1 menu items produced more than $500 million in sales past year and its $5 boxes generated an additional $1 billion.

Will Taco Bell's new and improved fries beat out McDonald's, Burger King, and Wendy's for the title of "best fast food french fry"?

Taco Bell's $1 Menu is already stocked with choices such as the Grilled Breakfast Burrito with Bacon, the Spicy Tostada and the Triple Layer Nachos.
