Switch system update version 6.0.0 launches September 18

We'll hear more information regarding the firm's Switch Online service tomorrow as well. Previously, playing online was free, but once Switch Online debuts, everyone will need to pay to play online. Plus, you can enhance your online experience with features available through the smartphone app and receive special offers. You can make use of a seven-day free trial by signing up on the Nintendo eShop starting September 18.

"Depending on the game, players can engage in online competitive or co-op multiplayer, or take turns controlling the action", Nintendo said earlier this year. I'm not actually excited for Switch Online at all so far, but I also don't play any video games online. So... Switch Direct also will enable owners of current-release games like Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Mario Tennis Aces to go online for cooperative gameplay with other subscribers worldwide.

After teasing its arrival for what feels like a lifetime, Nintendo has finally confirmed its Switch Online subscription plan will launch in just a few days on September 18, 2018. The company is planning on speaking about upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Switch titles, so be prepared for some possible character reveals for Super Smash Bros.
