Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Released from Hospital After Breaking Ribs

President Donald Trump sent well wishes to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who was hospitalized Thursday after fracturing three ribs, while also pointing out their political differences.

The court had previously said the justice fell in her office at the court on Wednesday evening and went to George Washington University Hospital in Washington early Thursday after experiencing discomfort overnight.

Daniel Stiepleman, who wrote the script for the film "On the Basis of Sex" about his aunt's work as a young lawyer, with input from the justice herself, told Reuters the 85-year-old Ginsburg was "doing great".

In addition to just being an all-out inspiration of a human being, Ginsburg is an important component of the Supreme Court's liberal minority.

"I wouldn't say she's exactly on my side, but I wish her well", Trump said Friday, according to the pool report. As a result, she was forced to miss the formal investiture ceremony for new Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh at the court that morning.

Ginsburg said in July she hopes to stay on the bench past 2020. She has survived two bouts of cancer, and in 2014 underwent a procedure to have a stent placed in her right coronary artery.

The Supreme Court's next session is scheduled for November 26.
