'Star Wars: The Last Jedi': Mark Hamill clarifies next trailer misunderstanding

The salt-encrusted mineral planet of Crait is one of the many new worlds we'll be visiting when Star Wars: The Last Jedi unspools this winter. When asked by a fan when we can expect new footage from Episode VIII, Hamill tweeted back, "Watch Monday Night Football on October 9th- for no reason in particular". Or, it could be quite possible that Star Wars: The Last Jedi will indeed see its final trailer drop during that night's Monday Night Football broadcast featuring the Minnesota Vikings at the Chicago Bears.

Of course, this might not be the trailer that Hamill is referring to-or he could be deliberately trying to throw fans off the scent of when it will really be released. According to none other than Mark Hamill himself, that trailer may just be a few weeks away.

Digital Spy snagged a screenshot of the tweet before Hamill deleted it. About any of that, because it is clearly not the only ones to see it as an attempt to seduce a new generation of little darlings in pumping happily the trilogy original, for how long Disney will continue to take us for neuneus?

Sneak Peeks at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - The Epic Theater will play host to a special one-night-only panel discussion about Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, the 14-acre Star Wars expansion that's set to open in 2019 at Disney's Hollywood Studios. With that movie, they premiered the first full trailer on October 19, 2015 during Monday Night Football, and tickets went on sale shortly after.

Disney, you don't have to do much more than the trailer we saw in April.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Ram Bergman. Nissan hasn't announced what it has planned as a promotional partner for the latest Star Wars movie, but it's safe to assume that there will be another limited edition Star Wars-themed Nissan coming soon.
