Snapchat's Latest AR Update Lets Users Insert Animated 3D Bitmojis Into Snaps

Photo-sharing app Snapchat is expected to overtake Facebook for the first time in the United States, as the user growth of Facebook will slow among teens and adults, market research firm eMarketer has said. While the initial feature only incorporated still photos of Bitmoji in different settings, the new element - 3D Bitmoji World Lenses - brings animated dramatizations to the stickers.

When the iPhone X launches in November it will bring with it the new Animoji feature in iMessage that lets you record expressions and voices to a dozen emoji characters. All iPhone owners should be able to use the Snapchat Bitmoji World Lenses now and it will arrive on Android in the near future. Facebook finally revealed today that its Messenger Day feature has attracted 70 million daily users, six months after launch.

3D Bitmojis in the yogi Lens. The Bitmoji World Lenses are rolling out to Android and iOS users so make sure you update your Snapchat app to the latest version. This is impressive considering the fact that the company also recently announced that it had 200 million daily active users.

To get started adding your 3D Bitmoji to your surroundings, open the Snapchat app, which will open on the main camera screen.

Users can unlock the World Lenses by scrolling through the lens carousel on the rear-facing Snapchat camera. The animated avatar can do some skateboarding tricks, or some yoga in a location of your choice, while you capture the action. Point your Snapchat camera at a surface to place your bitmoji and experience live animation with a brief scene.

When you have chosen your 3D Bitmoji Lens and are happy with the size and placing of your Bitmoji, it's time to record and share. You can send to your friends or post it to your story.
