Serge Ibaka Fights Marquese Chriss as Raptors Face Cavs

After an exchange with Chriss as the Toronto man tried to buy a cheap foul, Ibaka lifted himself from the floor and hurled himself at his opponent, with both men then appearing to throw punches before they were ejected. It resulted in Ibaka throwing punches in Chriss' direction before Chriss responded in kind. According to Knight, Chriss acted in self-defense and was put in a "no-win situation" once attacked by Ibaka.

The fight occurred with 0:01 remaining in the third quarter on Monday night. "That's usually how it goes". The league also noted his history of fighting during games. Toronto coach Nick Nurse pulled his starters as the Cavaliers pulled away and the lead reached 27 points with just under a minute to play.

James scored 32,293rd point on a driving layup in the second quarter against the Denver Nuggets.

The Raptors, showing signs of being exhausted in their third straight road game, struggled throughout the game.

Chriss will serve his suspension Tuesday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. Ibaka would lose about $149,000 for every game he misses. We certainly don't want that in our game.

Back on January 10, 2018, Ibaka exchanged blows with Miami's James Johnson, prompting another series of 1-game suspensions.

"I mean, listen, it's always going to be concerning", Burse said. "We don't want that". That kind of balance is obviously not going to happen in most games, but it was still nice to see the Cavaliers move the ball really well, both when it came to starters' minutes and the bench.
