Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell has hinted that he'll be rejoining his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates on Friday, September 1st after skipping training camp and, so far, refusing to sign his $12.1 million franchise tender.
On Tuesday evening, Bell essentially confirmed Rapoport's report, and even provided a specific date for his comeback, too.
Bell responded to a fan on twitter who asked when he would be returning to the field, "9-1-17", which is the day after the Steelers' final preseason game.
Bell has not been with the team during the preseason, working out on his own during his holdout.
The Steelers can tag the Bell for the second straight season in 2018 at $14.54 million or re-sign him.
Bell will also bring much of the Steelers' 2016 and 2017 offensive production with him. "Stay home, train in Florida".
The Steelers open up the season on September 10 when they travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns, who finished 1-15 a season ago.
Roethlisbeger, who's taken plenty of knee and ankle shots over the years, said the play is unfortunate but he can't fault the defensive player.
Bell can only hope his training camp absence produces similar results.
