Seahawks sign CB Tramaine Brock to 1-year deal

Brock's signing gives Seattle another cornerback to compete for reps opposite mainstay Richard Sherman, as DeShawn Shead remains on the team's physically unable to perform list.

Brock was cut by the San Francisco 49ers on April 7 one day after he was arrested on charges of suspicion of felony domestic violence and child endangerment.

"Seahawks have agreed to a one-year deal with CB Tramaine Brock, sources say". Rookie Shaquill Griffin and veteran Jeremy Lane have been the two most likely to step in for Shead, but Brock adds to the competition with his experience as a starter. Those charges were dismissed two days later as the Santa Clara District Attorney's office determined that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the case because the alleged victim declined to cooperate.

"I know what I've got to do".

Slavin said the Seahawks sent their own security, a private investigator and a police officer to Los Angeles to interview Brock and his accuser. "But the process and everything is under the rug and I'm moving forward from that situation". The main focus is for my kids. He ascended to the starting lineup in 2013 and earned a four-year, $16-million contract extension making 2017 the final year of the agreement. He spent his entire career with San Francisco after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent out of Belhaven in 2010.
