Scarlett Johansson to Reportedly Earn $15 Million for New Black Widow Movie

Just last week, Evans appeared to retire from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More specifically, you're finally reportedly set to make as much as Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth did playing Captain America and Thor in this year's Avengers: Infinity War (as a side note, how in the hell did Evans land that salary, given how little screen time he actually had?).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios does not offer large salaries to actors for their first standalone film.

Their paydays dwarf in comparison to Robert Downey Jr.

Scarlett Johansson inadvertently flexed her bankroll when she was placed atop Forbes' highest paid actress list this year. He has played the character in three "Captain America" movies and four "Avengers" films, including the upcoming "Avengers 4".

Although sources confirmed Johansson's Black Widow pay figure, a Marvel spokesperson released a statement disputing the figures saying that the company had a strict policy of never revealing the figures publicly.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have taken to social media to announce that filming has officially wrapped on Avengers 4, the hugely-anticipated follow-up to this year's smash hit superhero blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War. Brie Larson was offered $5 million for Captain Marvel, but her high price tag came along with a seven-picture deal that proves she'll be the new star of the MCU.

Schaeffer recently wrote the female-centric Dirty Rotten Scoundrels remake Nasty Women, and Shortland is best known for dramas Lore and Berlin Syndrome. She returned in 2012's Avengers, and has since featured in 2014's Captain America: Winter Soldier, 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, 2016's Captain America: Civil War, and 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.
