Scarlett Johansson to Reportedly Earn $15 Million for Standalone Black Widow Movie

Finally, after years of begging from fans, Johansson is finally set to star in her own Black Widow solo movie accompanied by a hefty salary. Robert Downey Jr. was paid $500,000 for the first Iron-Man, but his pay was boosted to $50 million by the time the first Avengers rolled around.

The report was that Larson's seven-figure payday came from signing up for seven films spanning multiple franchises and Larson simply said, "Counterpoint: this is not true". Brie Larson is now signed for seven Marvel movies and earned $5 million for Captain Marvel. Marvel also typically lets the stars get bonuses of up to several million dollars based on the film's performance.

But before you start taking all these numbers to the bank, it's worth noting that a Marvel spokesperson denied Johansson's reported salary, saying, "Marvel Studios disputes the accuracy of these numbers, and as a matter of policy, we never publicly disclose salaries or deal terms".

Brie Larson will be bringing Captain Marvel to the big screen next year, but at the moment it doesn't seem she is locked into a seven-picture deal.

If you're wondering about what's next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it'll probably involve quite a bit of Captain Marvel.

He wrote, "Officially wrapped on Avengers 4". The new promotional artwork not only confirms the importance of Pym Tech in the upcoming film but also offers clues on how exactly the scientist's work may play role. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Not only is this the same amount the two Chrises nabbed for Avengers: Infinity War (and the upcoming Avengers 4), but it's also the same salary they commanded in Captain America: Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok, respectively.

Captain Marvel launches on March 8, 2019, followed by the fourth Avengers movie on May 3, 2019, and Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5, 2019.
