Rockstar unveils the first Gameplay Trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2

The title will only be launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with no mention of a PC release. From story teasers and screenshot drops to crossover content with GTA, we've all been collectively on the lookout for more content.

From the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age. We wouldn't mind another, though.

Rumors about a new gameplay trailer were ongoing for a while now.

Similar to that of Red Red Redemption, players will be able to ride and walk across several different landscapes, including mountain environments, swamplands, deserts, and forests.

Captured entirely from in-game footage, watch this introduction to Red Dead Redemption 2's gameplay in 4K. The visual fidelity of everything is great, but it's the overall liveliness of the open-world that really, really stuck out. You have control over how honorable you want to play, but remember actions have consequences. You can start fights or squash them, save people or let them perish. Each time they are forced to flee an area, the gang sets up a camp as a base. You can form friendships, or make enemies as you choose.

The video provides a nice, general overview of Red Dead Redemption 2, giving us a peek at fighting, shooting, camp/gang management, character interaction, and, of course, plenty of gorgeous, varied vistas. At the end, Rockstar says that the next one will focus on things like missions and specific combat mechanics, so we'll be looking forward to that.

Speaking of animals, your relationship with your horse is also important in Red Dead Redemption 2. You better go brush off your cowboy hat because it come will round quicker than you can say wild west.

What do you think about the new Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer?

The hype train for Red Dead Redemption 2 is on full throttle, and with the release date becoming ever closer it's time to have a look at the new gameplay trailer Rockstar have put out.
