Real president Perez "not contemplating" Ronaldo departure

Real Madrid will defend Cristiano Ronaldo "at all costs" following reports he could face prosecution for alleged tax evasion of €14.7m.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is set to speak about Cristiano Ronaldo's future on Monday evening as speculation continues to mount over a possible Manchester United return.

"Wish and your dreams will come true", might work in a ideal world, but Ronaldo will know just because he wants to go back to Manchester United, his former club, it doesn't mean he will be able to. In the current ranking, Real Madrid ranks fourth while Ronaldo is sixth.

Prosecutors allege he knowingly used a business structure which hid income from his image rights between 2011 and 2014.

Bayern President Uli Hoeness has pledged a big-name signing in the close season and Italian media had reported in recent days the German champions were interested in Ronaldo. "He will surely tell us and we will see what happens".

Onda Cero say Perez will "give his version of the "Ronaldo case" in an interview with the Spanish radio station late on Monday evening, while an event marking his re-election will be held at 6.30pm United Kingdom time at the Bernabeu's presidential box.

"I have not talked to him or his father". The Champions League and the La Liga winners have publicly backed their star player, saying they have "full confidence" in the former Manchester United man.

"We have not had an offer for Cristiano.the Sheikh at Paris Saint-Germain is a friend of mine and he hasn't called me nor have we talked".

Asked about potential clubs Ronaldo could join, Perez said: "I'm not contemplating Ronaldo leaving".

He said that Ronaldo had clearly done nothing wrong and Perez was appalled that the "presumption of innocence is not respected" by the media who have branded the played a delinquent. The club - which also won La Liga last season - lead the way in the elite European competition with 12 trophies.

Perez assured the fans that the Portugal global would be honouring his contract with Real Madrid while insisting that he would contact the star striker only after the conclusion of Portugal's Confederations Cup campaign.
