Rajon Rondo: Ex-Celtic Rajon Rondo burns Boston in Game 2

The eighth-seeded Chicago Bulls, getting a balanced attack led by a vintage Rajon Rondo floor game, cruised by the top-seeded Boston Celtics 111-97 on Tuesday night to take a stunning 2-0 lead in an Eastern Conference first-round playoff series.

The Bulls gashed Boston thanks to a well-oiled attack spearheaded by Rondo (11 points, 14 assists), Dwyane Wade (22 points) and Jimmy Butler (22 points, eight rebounds, eight assists).

Wade and Jimmy Butler led six Bulls in double figures with 22 points apiece, while Robin Lopez had 18, Paul Zipser 16 off the bench and Nikola Mirotic 13.

Thomas played through tears Sunday night in the Celtics' 106-102 loss to the Chicago Bulls in the opener of a first-round Eastern Conference playoff series - just a day after his 22-year-old sister Chyna Thomas was killed in a auto crash.

Thomas fought through tears to score 33 points in Boston's opening playoff defeat to Chicago on Sunday, just a day after his sister Chyna's death.

Basketball fans of both teams at the TD Garden in Boston offered a moment of silence to pay their respects for Thomas' 22-year-old little sister, Chyna Thomas, who died in a vehicle accident in Washington. However, the Celtics coach Brad Stevens, 40, confirmed that Isaiah will be on-hand, per Yahoo Sports, and he'll fly back to Tacoma afterward to attend her funeral. Stevens further stated that Thomas' previous play just goes to show that he is an awesome player not just in Boston but in the league. Serge Ibaka added 16 points for Toronto, Cory Joseph had 11 and Jonas Valanciunas added 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

"(The Bulls) came in and took (it), and we have to do the same thing", said Boston's Jae Crowder.

Boston shot 46 percent for game, but too many times was just one-and-done in the half court. However, it was the Celtics that emerged triumphant in the last playoff clash with Chicago, knocking off the Bulls in seven games in a first-round matchup eight years ago.

Chicago hauled down an unbelievable 20 offensive rebounds to win for the eighth time in its last 11 games.

Who do you want to win this game, HollywoodLifers?

He was much better in Game 2, going 6 for 12, including 2 of 5 from long range.

It was so unacceptable that Stevens made it the focal point of his post-Game 1 coaching plan.

Game 3 will be in Chicago on Friday night. Look for the Bulls to keep this game close once again.
