Yogi Adityanath is campaigning in Gujarat on October 13 and 14 ahead of the assembly elections in the state. He said there was little to expect from Rahul Gandhi who had not been able to develop his Lok Sabha constituency for a long period.
The UP Chief Minister also said that if the tribals (adivasis) are out of country's mainstream, then only the Congress is responsible for it.
The BJP on Friday mocked Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for visiting temples in poll-bound Gujarat, saying votes can not be fetched by merely visiting temples and praying to God but through work.
Replying to a question, Yogi Adityanath said, "Ram Temple is not an election issue for us, but a matter of belief".
"He is not a supporter of development, but a supporter of destruction". The man in the spotlight, Rahul Gandhi was also present at the event but he refused to comment on the development. In his interactions with them, he stressed on the fact that a Congress government in the state would listen to the criticism by people and would not indulge in its own "Mann ki Baat".
He said that Rahul Gandhi was confusing the people of Gujarat during his election rallies. "He would like to emerge as the president of All India Congress Committee (AICC) only out of the election process", he had said last month. "Originally it (Gujarat) was a Congress state (before BJP came to power), but now I think the Congress will repeat its success definitely with greater vigour because we have the chances and Rahulji has, in particular, given excellent hope and leadership in Gujarat". While Prime Minister Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah were touring the flood affected areas of Gujarat the Gandhi had chosen to go over to Italy.
