Play Fortnite For Free on Your Nintendo Switch Right Now

It's not now available in the Switch version of Epic's popular battle royale game that launched today, but will be on Thursday.

It was also announced that Fortnite on Switch would not be the Mobile version of the game, and will use Nintendo Switch servers too.

US RETAILER Best Buy appears to have inadvertently confirmed that Netflix and YouTube are heading to the Nintendo Switch. "At Nintendo, we approach development with the goal of making new and unique games to delight and surprise people". The inverse is also happening, limiting accounts that are first used on Switch from playing on PS4.

UPDATE: You can not move back and forth between PlayStation 4 and any other platform now - apparently now even if you've only logged on to a PSN for PS4 account for a moment.

Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime said the game would incorporate its battle royale mode and would be available at 1 p.m. EST today as a free download. No account previously linked to a PSN account can log in on a Switch console.

What you need to do is head on over to the "Connected" section of your Epic Games account, and unlink the Nintendo Switch from your account. This means you'll be required to make a separate account to use on another platform.

Epic Games has yet to officially confirm the existence of Fortnite on Switch, but at this point, it would be shocking not to see the game tomorrow. "I was a tester on PC who's finished every season and spent hundreds of dollars on the game but nope no Switch play for me since I played once on a PS4", writes user kagatoASUKA. You can move back and forth between iPad and PC and Nintendo Switch.

Set in a huge map this version of the game puts 100 players against each other. Ask away in the comments section below.
