Spring Herbison Bowlin went to Walmart during her lunch break last Thursday and was moved by the cashier's kindness toward the customer in front of her.
The man began taking fistfuls of change out of his pockets. He became flustered after miscounting the change, having to start over.
"His hands and voice are shaking", Bowlin wrote in a Facebookpost.
The cashier took the man's money and began helping him. She took the man's hands, dumped out the change and said, "This is not a problem, honey".
The gentleman continued to apologize to Bowlin and the cashier, but the two reassured him there was no rush and it was okay.
After he walked away, Bowlin looked at the cashier and thanked her for her patience.
Bowlin called it a heartwarming moment and said, "I want to be more like her (the cashier)". "What's wrong with our world is we've forgotten how to love one another".
"She shakes her head and replies, 'You shouldn't have to thank me, baby". "I got out my card and was on the verge of stepping in to pay, but I stopped. Gives me a muttered, 'I'm sorry'". "(People) missed the blessing and honor of witnessing her kindness. According to the store manager, corporate has a "special recognition" planned for the cashier.
