Catalan sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo are now reporting that Neymar, who is currently recovering from a broken foot in Brazil, has made contact with his Barcelona teammates asking that how can he plot a move back to Camp Nou.

Earlier, they met Neymar at his mansion in Mangaratiba, near Rio de Janeiro, where the 26-year-old is recovering from surgery to fix a fractured fifth metatarsal in his right foot. And the aim of Neymar is to be in flawless condition for the World Cup, meaning a quick return is unlikely.

Neymar Sr. and Al-Khelaifi moving to reassure people about Neymar's stay in Ligue 1 is understandable after Henrique recently said "I can not guarantee" the player's future, per Anthony Chapman of The Sun.

"Not only because of the relationship I have with him, but because of the type of player he is". "Let's not talk about hypothetical situations".

However, United will face stiff competition as the report says Man City are also ready to enter the bidding if Neymar decides to come to the Premier League this summer.

"More than 10 years later a player costs 220 million euros ($270 million)".

Neymar is now injured, having suffered a metatarsal fracture during a Ligue 1 game.
