Pakistan violates ceasefire in Poonch, 45-year-old woman killed

On Saturday, a civilian and a junior level Army officer were killed in Pakistan shelling in Poonch's Krishna Ghati sector.

He said the Pakistan army initiated the unprovoked firing on the Indian Army posts at around 5.00 om on Saturday.

Last Monday, a soldier was injured in crossborder firing in Uri sector of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.

Earlier today One Indian Army soldier was injured in a terrorist attack that broke out on an army camp in forest are of Kalaroos in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Tomar, aged 42 years, belonged to Madhya Pradesh's Morena and is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. He was succumbed at a medical facility, the Army said.

"The martyred junior commissioned officer (JCO) was a fearless and honest soldier".

A 40-year old woman was killed when mortar shells fired from across the border exploded at Gohlad Kalran village. "Firing exchanges are continuing", the sources told IANS.

"Summary: The nation will remain forever indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice", Jammu defence spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said.

The fresh cross-LoC firing and shelling once again caused fear and panic among the border dwellers.
