Overkill's The Walking Dead reveals new info including first playable character

When it comes to the video game realm the popularity hasn't really followed the zombie franchise there. The game is also a four-player multiplayer co-op so you can enlist friends for some help smashing walkers skulls and some humans along the way.

Overkill's "The Walking Dead" is going to be somewhat similar to the Payday games.

Now with the exception of the Telltale Series (which I love), we have not gotten a good Walking Dead game which captures the true essence of the show.

Overkill has revealed the first of four characters available in their Walking Dead game via a rather impressive cinematic trailer.

Overkill said to expect a variety of missions and raids, which involve securing supplies and survivors to strengthen a base camp against both the dead and the living.

The trailer introduces us to Aiden, one of the four player characters you'll be taking control of in the co-operative action shooter. Set in The Walking Dead Universe, you and your group tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

Each character has their own Special Abilities, Skill Trees, Squad Roles, Play Styles and Story Arcs, but teamwork is paramount.

Bet Aidan misses those annoying voicemails now. In the trailer below, you can get a glimpse of what Aidan's life was like before the zombie apocalypse and what he has become because of it.

Overkill's The Walking Dead is now slated for a fall 2018 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Overkill's The Walking Dead will be out towards the end of next year.
