Nintendo Direct postponed by 6.7 natural disaster in Hokkaido, Japan

Their full Tweet reads: "Due to the powerful natural disaster in Hokkaido, Japan, we have chose to delay this week's planned Nintendo Direct".

The announcement for this Direct notes that it will be about 35 minutes long, covering upcoming titles for the Nintendo 3DS and Switch.

In a week where Japan was already reeling from the impact of Typhoon Jebi, Hokkaido was also struck by a 6.6 magnitude quake. If you want to know how to watch Nintendo Direct, you've come to the right place.

Nintendo Switch fans were going to find out about new games heading to the hit hybrid console during an upcoming Nintendo Direct. Perhaps the game will be covered in the delayed Nintendo Direct? "Thank you for your understanding".

This one is promised to focus on not only the Nintendo Switch but also their other portable system.

The format holder confirmed that 20 NES games will be released alongside Switch Online, with Donkey Kong, Super Mario Bros. They will reschedule the Nintendo Direct at a later date.

One detail that seems to have slipped through earlier than planned, however, is the game's title.
