Mukul has insulted Mamata, says Trinamool

Suspended Trinamool Congress MP Mukul Roy, once a confidant of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, quit the party and the Rajya Sabha Oct. 11, accusing Banerjee of running a one-man show and propagating dynastic politics. On Monday Rajya Sabha MP Roy said that finally, he going to hand over his resignation to the Vice President and then he will tell people of this country that why he made a decision to end his long political innings with Trinamool Congress, the party which was founded by him along with others. In the letter he wrote to Naidu, too, he wrote that he felt "deep pain".

Without naming Banerjee, he said the party's dynastic politics was one of the main reasons he leaving. "He was given a second chance in 2015 by Mamata Banerjee, but he did not rectify himself. So, today, everybody in Trinamool Congress can go to sleep with peace in their mind as the traitor is now out", said Chatterjee. We went to the people with the slogan 3G - to highlight Congress corruption in coal, 2G and CWG.

Given the task of expanding the party's organisation in West Bengal, Mr Roy, who had lost in the 2001 state Assembly election, became the face of the party in New Delhi after he was sent to the Upper House of Parliament in 2006 and appointed as the TMC general secretary.

However, the leader said there has been no formal proposal from Roy to join the BJP.

TMC termed Roy's final exithe was suspended on September 26from the party as an "insignificant" event that "saved" the party and the state from his "treachery".

The TMC had accused him of hobnobbing with the BJP. "Sometimes Trinamool Congress is with the BJP, sometimes they are with the Congress", Roy told the media at his residence here shortly after submitting his resignation.

"All workers of Trinamool Congress work like its soldiers". "All those political leaders who want West Bengal to grow would like to join BJP and work under Prime Minister Narendra Modi as there is no other party which wants to work on the agenda of development", the BJP general secretary said. After that, we will take a call.
