Mourinho says Manchester United still in the market for a winger

"He's not ready to play tomorrow so it's not urgent, not desperate to have it done or not done".

The Red Devils have gone nine years without winning the Champions League as Mourinho won the first European trophy since their success in Moscow.

"We always had that", Mourinho told the club's official website. "He wants more at the highest level".

"I am happy with the effort the club did and that the club managed to do 75 percent of the work before the Premier League starts and until August 31.

But we have players and if we can not strengthen the team in these areas, we have players that we trust". The Spain global then continued his good form on tour, featuring in five games and netting the victor in the 2-1 win over Sampdoria.

Mourinho has added Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic for a combined cost of £147 million but has lost Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney while Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young are long-term absentees through injury.

Friday night football was introduced last season with the experience beginning with Manchester United's home win against Southampton on 19 August.

"I just think that naturally, a manager in the second season knows the players and knows the club better".

The Premier League legend said on BBC Sport: "Chelsea I do sense, there is something brewing there, which isn't nice". "I will try to do my best to stay here, get an important role for the season, to help my team-mates and to impress the manager".

"For me, the medal would go to some place in my house; for that kid, it's the moon - something to keep and remember".

This week's remarkable interview by the latter has led links with Old Trafford to grow and Mourinho has not ruled out a move for a full-back this month.

"This time we're all in the same basket and it's going to be the same for everybody".

That is a big change from a year ago, when United played only five pre-season matches after a friendly against Manchester City in Beijing was called off.

"We are in a position to do quality work better than we did in the first season, so I am convinced that our second season, in terms of the quality of our team, is going to be better".

"We always had more goals with wingers, midfielders getting 10 goals, central defenders getting five goals, and last season that didn't happen much". Like with any eventual champion, we'll need some luck with injuries to key players, and maybe an unexpected meltdown or two at some of the other challengers (E.g., Conte trying to fight one of his players during a game, Guardiola getting busted for systematic blood do-.nevermind).

West Ham United forward Javier Hernandez is eager to showcase his talents on the return to his former stomping ground when the London side visit Manchester United in their opening fixture of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign on Saturday.
