Two months after the smartphone was unveiled at IFA 2017 in Berlin, the company has launched the Moto X4 in India at a starting price of Rs 20,999. As part of the launch offer, Moto X4 buyers will get an exchange bonus of up to Rs 3,000, 2500 Bonus exchange, 10% cashback on HDFC Debit and credit cards, 340GB data on Airtel and buyback of up to 50 percent. The design is definitely distinctive, something Motorola fans will appreciate. Stay tuned for Moto X4 review.
As mentioned above, the fourth iteration in Motorola's X series of smartphones has shed any flagship ambitions it had for more grounded middle of the road goals.
Moto X4 can also be considered as a camera-centric phone as it has dual camera setup at the back. The former has an f/2.0 aperture whereas the latter is a wide-angle lens capable of 120-degree field of view. The phone is powered by 3000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.
Moto X4 is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery which with its TurboPower technology gives 6 hours of power in 15 minutes of charging. The dual setup enables the user to capture pictures with effects like ultra-wide angle shot, selective focus, depth detection, etc. and the dual LED flash helps in color correlation and phase detection autofocus. But it misses out on supporting Moto Mods which has been included in most of Motorola's phones launched in the recent past. On the front is a 16-megapixels selfie-camera with f/2.0 aperture and flash. In the USA, however, Motorola Moto X4 is selling as Android One branded phone, which is running a stock version of Google's mobile operating system. Alexa can take commands even when the smartphone is locked and can be used to easily order goods from Amazon, set alarms, answer questions and so on. However, Motorola claims that it will make it to India eventually.
The handset is also IP68 water and dust resistant. Which basically means that you can dunk the smartphone in up to 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes without breaking a sweat. The last phone in the series was launched back in December 2015 and fast forwarding to September this year, we saw the launch of X4. Flipkart will be the first to sell this device and according to tipsters, the price will be roughly around Rs 24,000.Moto X4 will be available in two color variants - Black and Grey, both of which looks equally stunning. It is exclusive to Flipkart and the sale starts from 11:59 PM today itself.
