"And I'll be announcing pretty much what happened here, and also with other meetings, including China and South Korea and lots of other places", Trump said during a meeting with his Australian and Japanese counterparts at a summit of Asian leaders in Manila, Philippines. "I would actually say probably better than ever before", he said.
He'll also pose for a traditional group photo and participate in another group discussion.
Trump will head for the USA later Tuesday.
Later, during remarks to kick off the summit, Trump referred to Duterte as "Rodrigo".

"We've made some very big steps with respect to trade, far bigger than anything you know, in addition to about $300 billion in sales to various companies, including China - that was $250 billion and going up very substantially from that", Trump said.

Duterte sang a duet of the song "Ikaw" with singer Pilita Corrales during Sunday night's gala dinner at the summit in Manila. "So that was really great", Trump told reporters on Air Force One just after taking off from Manila.
Trump was among 20 foreign leaders in the Philippines for the summit, his first visit to the country as president.

The White House earlier this year invited Duterte to the White House, a move that drew widespread criticism from human rights groups and congressional Democrats.
Duterte has been very fond of Trump, commending the United States leader for not criticizing his drug war for the alleged cases of extrajudicial killings (EJKs) and human rights violations. The White House has suggested the president may designate North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism.
