Mohamed Salah: I want to win trophies with Liverpool

Klopp ran on to hug goalkeeper Alisson after Divock Origi's weird goal in Sunday's Merseyside derby.

Former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop feels Liverpool's new patient game plan under Jurgen Klopp this season has its advantages and is a smart move by the German coach. He has until 6pm on 6 December 2018 to respond to the charge'.

Silva said when asked about the England goalkeeper, who had done well to deny Xherdan Shaqiri in the first half: "What I told him will stay between us. Not cool, but it happened".

For 95 minutes of action between Liverpool and Everton on Sunday, neither team could find a goal.

"I can understand [Everton manager] Marco Silva, I can understand [former Southampton boss Mauricio] Pellegrini when it happened, but it is what it is".

The City manager said: "I did it against Southampton". I don't know how those two guys cleared that situation.

"It was a lucky day for him this afternoon but that is football". I think it is the Everton luck when we come to Anfield.

I would say always the referees want to do a good job and want to do it well.

Origi has now scored three goals in the Merseyside derby and Klopp said he has rarely viewed scenes like his dramatic late victor. Origi was making his first Premier League appearance since the opening day of last season, and had not scored a goal of any kind for Liverpool since May 2017.

The win sees Liverpool close back to within two points of leaders Manchester City.

The 26-year old Salah made a dazzling debut campaign with the Premier League side last season, scoring 44 goals in all competitions as Liverpool reached the Champions League final and finished fourth in the Premier League.

On the celebrations, which naturally carried more feeling than they might have done against different opposition, Alexander-Arnold added: "Emotions get the best of you, especially in games like this". If I could describe how I felt when the goal went in, then I would have control over it. Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are all on the fixture list before the month is out, meaning things seem likely to get worse before they get better. "I talk from my side, but you have to be respectful to the other ones".

"If you look at the footage I thought 'What am I doing?' first", said Van Dijk.

"But at this moment we have to be patient".

Origi might have won the game minutes earlier, striking a shot against the bar before Daniel Sturridge's follow-up struck Gylfi Sigurdsson and led to strong penalty claims.
