This is actually Moore's second Trump-related documentary over the past two years. Moore asks in the trailer.
Michael Moore has released for the first trailer for his upcoming "Fahrenheit 11/9", spraying "Flint water" into the front yard of Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder. "That all ends with this movie".
Filming on Moore's new Trump documentary has been done under a strict cloak of secrecy.
Michael Moore has released a trailer for his forthcoming documentary Fahrenheit 11/9
Many of Moore's prior movies caused a stir, but that was before the omnipresence of social media, Since we're all constantly drowning in the never-ending news cycle of Trump's latest idiotic statement or decision, I'm not sure how effective this film can be.
Moore, an Academy Award-winning director, is helming the film.
"He's taking a much bigger perspective on American politics", Thom Powers, the docs programmer for the Toronto International Film Festival, where Moore will premiere the film, told the Los Angeles Times. They're getting steamrolled by a tyrant because Trump understands media and understands the country he lives in more than those that cover him do. Hope leads people to believe that tax returns, or a pee tape, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation or an adult film star will save the country.
"Fahrenheit 11/9"'s release comes just ahead of the US mid-term elections, with Moore looking to spread anti-Trump messaging and insight into his politics. The documentary takes in Trump's election campaign in 2016, his first year in office, and how Trump's victory is invariably tied to the crises facing America, including the openness of white supremacy and fascism, the cosy relationship Trump has with the far-right, and everything in between.
