"An acknowledged champion of women and their rights worldwide, The Duchess will motivate ever more women to come to our centres and get the job that will transform their lives".

Kensington Palace confirmed on Thursday, January 10, the Duchess of Sussex's four royal patronages with a special announcement. Meghan on Thursday has become patron of the Smart Works charity that supports unemployed women to return to work. The Duchess of Sussex - a humanitarian from the start.

For her first solo royal outing of 2019, the pregnant royal donned a $4,400 (£2,492.63) sand-coloured cotton-twill coat from Oscar de la Renta with a more affordable $218 (£170) black dress by United States maternity label Hatch.

"It's not just donating your clothes and seeing where they land, but really being a part of each other's success stories as women", Markle said of Smart Works.

The duchess already has privately visited many charities during her time in the United Kingdom, the palace said.

Services include outfitting women with clothes to wear for job interviews.

Royal reporters Rebecca English and Richard Palmer managed to catch the duchess in action and shared clips on Twitter.

Mrs Beckham herself was clearly thrilled to see Meghan carrying her design, since she posted a looping video on her Instagram page to tell her followers all about its handy hidden detail.

"It was so exhilarating to meet the duchess".

"Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash, and she's finding the whole situation incredibly stressful", another insider added to the report.
