Mane Aggrevates Hamstring Injury, Clyne Undergoes Back Surgery

Liverpool fans must dread the worldwide break.

Liverpool have won their last two Premier League matches after a three-game slide in which the defence made countless errors.

However, Mane has now returned to Melwood early after aggravating the injury during Senegal's win over South Africa on Friday.

The news of Mane comes on the back of Clyne's extended period out following surgery.

It's been confirmed on Monday morning that Sadio Mane has been released from global duty by Senegal.

Manager Klopp said: 'It is a concern that the hamstring injury is on the agenda again.

Mane played in the win over South Africa on Friday, a result that secured Senegal's place at the World Cup, setting up Diafra Sakho's goal in the 2-0 victory in Polokwane.

"After consultations between the medical staff of the national team of Senegal and Liverpool it was decided by mutual agreement to make him available to his club to continue treatment until full recovery'". It remains to be seen if Mane will be fit enough to face his former team this weekend.

Liverpool, of course, have been heavily linked to Southampton in recent seasons, particularly in the transfer market.

For the second time this season, Reds star Sadio Mane has picked up an injury while away representing Senegal.

Mane, who has scored 16 goals in 32 Premier League starts since joining Liverpool last summer, is due back at England on Tuesday morning, having been released by Senegal.
