Man linked to reality TV star Bethenny Frankel found dead

Dennis appeared in a handful of episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, alongside Bethenny.

"He was a loving father and friend. It's awful. She's known him for over 20 years", the insider says. "We ask that the media respect our privacy during this time of loss". This shade would, on its own, raise a few eyebrows, but considering that Bethenny's boyfriend's death would break later in the day, there's an extra layer of cringe added to all this. He asked his assistant to administer Narcan around 9 a.m. after he thought he overdosed on prescription pills, sources said, according to the station.

He graduated from New York University with a Master's degree in public relations and went on to make his living as a banker in New York City. His estimated net worth was around $11 million.

The medical examiner's office is investigating the death of a man believed to be Dennis Shields, found at the Trump Tower. He was the CEO of the pre-settlement funding company since it began in 2000, and he also was behind the creation of the American Legal Finance Association (ALFA). "Dennis was, and will always be, the love of my life", Shields' ex-wife, Jill Shields, said in a statement to People magazine.

Dennis and the Real Housewives of New York City star met almost 30 years ago, but didn't start dating until 2016. It was Frankel's first relationship shown on the series after her divorce from Jason Hoppy.

Frankel addressed their relationship in a May interview with Steve Harvey. We're trying to really kind of be good partners and be good teammates and I think relationships oddly are -- and this sounds cold -- but a little bit like business.

Bethenny Frankel's ex-boyfriend has died, according to TMZ.
