Mammootty, Nayanthara among Forbes Richest Indian celebrity

While Bumrah is 60th on the list of top-earning celebrities with earnings of Rs 16.42, Pandey stood 77th with Rs 13.08 crores in his pocket.

Based on the earnings of celebrities in the entertainment industry, Forbes India has published the list of top 100 celebrities. Meanwile, actress Nayanthara too has marked a place in the list, this year too.

Priyanka Chopra lost her last year's seventh rank (Rs 68 crore) and settled for No. 49 with Rs 18 crore as earnings in 2018.

The list was prepared on the basis of the annual earnings of the stars from 2017 October to 2018 September. Since Ajith hasn't had a movie release during this period, he probably wasn't listed. This is the first time that an actor from the Malayalam film industry is part of the Forbes list.

Meanwhile, many other South Indian celebrities have also found a place in the list. Shah Rukh Khan has fallen out of the top 10 list.

The Indian Skipper Virat Kohli climbs up the ladder and earns the second spot with a gross Rs 228.09 crore.

Indian cricket team all-rounder Hardik Pandya, with earnings to the tune of Rs 28.46 crore, was the highest gainer (in percentage terms), with his annual earnings rising almost nine times. Akshay Kumar bagged third position with the total gross of Rs. 185 crore this year.

Salman Khan for the past three consecutive years has topped the list. Deepika is followed by star player Mahendra Singh Dhoni at number 5, Aamir Khan (Rs 97.50 crore), Amitabh Bachchan (Rs 96.17 crore), Ranveer Singh (Rs 84.7 crore), Sachin Tendulkar (Rs 80.00 crore) and Ajay Devgn (Rs 74.50 crore) making it to the top 10.
