So, she was placed with another family until the Seminole Animal Shelter could find a permanent home for her. She was trying to get back to her original family.
The family gave their dog to someone in a town called Prague, but Cathleen ran away twice, walking 20 miles away to her former family's home in Seminole.
But a few months ago they moved into a home in the town of Seminole, Okla. where they couldn't keep her anymore.
"Her heart wants to be with them but they can not keep her".
One Facebook user wrote: "Bless her heart... that's just so sad...20 miles twice is a long long road to travel for this sweet girl", one Facebook user wrote. Described as a "love bug, " (and obviously very loyal to her humans) Caitlin has received adoption requests from all over the USA - and she found the flawless home! "Friendly", reserve animal control officer Lynzi Thompson told KOCO. She is humble, kind and passive.
The Seminole Humane Society stepped in to help find her home.
Cathleen is not the only dog who was recently reunited - however briefly - with her owners in a remarkable fashion.
Cathleen's adoption fee is $25. Seminole Animal Shelter Treasurer Marta Mattingly said the organization had reached out to them and would post on Facebook if the family agreed.
