Lack of transfer bids to fire Mesut Ozil up for Arsenal?

The Arsenal midfielder will be out of contract at the Emirates next summer and is able to negotiate a free transfer overseas from January 1.

"So that results in more and more players going to the end of their contracts".

Both Sanchez and Ozil have been essential for Arsene Wenger's side in recent years, and without them Arsenal will be in an even worse position than they are at the moment.

The other player Arsenal fans are unsure about is of course Alexis Sanchez, with the forward nearly certain to leave the club at the end of his deal.

The agent of Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil has declared that his client's ongoing contract negotiations with the Gunners remain "positive", with the club still looking to avoid a situation whereby the World Cup victor can leave as a free agent next summer.

His future with Arsenal has been in doubt for some time now however his agent says that Ozil wants to continue playing in the English Premier League.

However, while admitting that Besiktas are an attractive proposition for Ozil, his agent Dr Erkut Sogut has dropped his biggest hint yet that the player could be Manchester United bound.

This is sure to go down well with Arsenal fans, who will be relieved to hear that their most creative player is likely to sign a new contract at the club.
