Even as he drew a tough line on lifting sanctions, Pompeo sought to ease North Korea's wariness about giving up a nuclear arsenal that provides a deterrent against foreign adversaries while also serving as a key point of national pride.
This share is as high as at any point since 2005.
The expected Kim-Trump meeting is considered unique given it'll be the closest meeting the leaders of the USA and North Korea have ever had.
Prior to meeting with Kim, Trump predicted he would have a "terrific relationship" with the North Korean strongman.
"We've got a very interesting meeting in particular tomorrow", Trump said at a luncheon with the Singapore prime minister on Monday. "In addition, the charter of a Chinese airplane may have an effect of publicizing China's active support and cooperation to the North Korean people ahead of summit talks with the U.S". The problem, Payton said, is that the scope of the country's cybersystem is sometimes forgotten due to the emphasis on controlling Pyongyang's nuclear developments.

Trump and Kim arrived in Singapore on Sunday, both staying at luxurious and heavily guarded hotels less than half a mile apart, with Trump at the Shangri-La Hotel and Kim at the St. Regis Hotel. "And he has that opportunity, and he won't have that opportunity again", Trump said.
"I think the North will denuclearise ... because it knows it has no other alternatives", he said.
As he disembarked from Air Force One, Trump told reporters that he feels "very good" about his prospects.
