The Ottapalam police took him to custody from a shooting location in Palakkad on Thursday, and recorded his arrest on Friday after the students identified the actor at an identification parade using photographs. The police imposed POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act against the actor after more than 10 school students complained to the principal against him. "Later in the day, he will be presented in a court", said the official. While Ravi admitted that the vehicle mentioned in the complaint belonged to him, he denied the allegations of misconduct, according to The New Indian Express. The girls had identified him. He said that they may have noted the number wrongly.
The actor has denied involvement in the incident and told the Malayalam newspaper Manorama that although the number of the auto was his, there could be some "mistake". But I was not involved in any such incident.
The Sub-Collector's report says the incident took place on August 27 and the investigation was started much later.
