Juelz Santana flees New Jersey airport after TSA finds gun on him

The officer "froze" the bag inside the X-ray tunnel, and it was at that point that Santana allegedly fled the scene.

NY rapper Juelz Santana finally ended his run from law enforcement.

The South Passaic Daily Voice has learned that Juelz Santana is planning on turning himself in today, the longer he waits the larger his bail. The flight was headed to San Francisco, where Santana was set to perform at Grand Nightclub.

A law enforcement official said on Saturday that Port Authority Police Department detectives are searching for the 36-year-old New York City-born rapper, who lives in New Jersey. He isn't going to face additional charges for evading capture, unless it is proven beyond proven doubt that he understood the consequences of his action. James was also charged in 2011 for assault.

On Friday (March 9), the Dipset emcee reportedly fled from the Newark Liberty International Airport after agents from the Transportation Security Administration discovered a firearm in his luggage. They said authorities recovered a loaded Derringer.38-caliber handgun and that the suspect "is believed to have left Newark Airport by taxicab".

"Upon our discovery of the firearm, the individual left the checkpoint and went back into the public area" leaving the carry-on bag containing the gun at the checkpoint, the TSA said in the email.
