Inter's Icardi wanted by "two biggest clubs in Spain" says agent

Inter must put a better offer on the table for Mauro Icardi to consider renewing his deal at San Siro, according to his agent.

Earlier on Wednesday, Argentinean broadcaster TyC Sports reported that Icardi will not renew his deal with Inter, which runs until 2021.

Icardi's contract includes a €110m release clause that becomes active for a two-week time frame, running from 1st July until 15th July.

Mauro Icardi's Inter future remains in doubt after his agent and wife Wanda Nara reiterated the Argentina global is nowhere near renewing his contract.

Icardi's renewal with Inter is a very long way off as things stand today. So far, we have not received a satisfactory offer from Inter.

"Icardi is our captain and we'll talk about his contract, but there aren't any problems between us and we won't be influenced by what the newspapers say".

"Furthermore, I'd like to point out that I am very, very happy and satisfied with the work we've done so far". It's not logical to renew Mauro's contract for the amount he now earns. We believe that he deserves more.

"There are very important clubs interested in Mauro, the two most important clubs in Spain, with whom we have excellent relationships, plus an English and a French team".

An Agent of a Serie A star has confirmed that LaLiga giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are "very interested" in her client.

Los Blancos have been reportedly searching for a new player to fill the void that Cristiano Ronaldo left.

The Blues are in the market for a striker following an injury to Olivier Giroud and the prolonged poor form of Alvaro Morata and are allegedly willing to meet Icardi's £100million release clause.

Inter Milan president Steven Zhang insists Mauro Icardi is staying.
