Although Ingraham's show won't debut until October 30, Fox News is going to see how the 10 p.m. timeslot ET will do without Hannity for just over a month.
Fox News announced on Monday that Ingraham will host "The Ingraham Angle" at 10 p.m. slot, bumping host Sean Hannity up to 9 p.m.
"We are delighted to unveil this new primetime schedule for both our current and future generation of loyal FNC fans", Suzanne Scott, president of programming for the cabler newser told Deadline today.
Sean Hannity will have his show moved up to the 9pm time slot, where he will go head-to-head with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow in the ratings. "We look forward to her providing the audience with her exceptional commentary, engaging insight and spirited debate".
Ingraham had always been rumored to be joining Fox News after she did not land a job within the Trump Administration.
That means Sean Hannity's show will be on the move, airing at 9 p.m. starting on September 25. Her daily radio show is one the most listened to in the country, ranking only behind Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh on Talk Stream Live's charts.
"I look forward to informing and entertaining the audience and introducing new voices to the conversation", she said. Ingraham is a strong proponent of the Trump administration, keeping in line with Fox's conservative slant.
Ingraham's new show The Ingraham Angle will target average Americans and vows to "avoid political rhetoric" used commonly in Washington career politician circles. She hosts a radio show and also founded a political and lifestyle website called "LifeZette".
Ingraham said she was "thrilled" to join the prime-time lineup. The program will also highlight the importance of faith in our nation and reveal stories that showcase the American spirit.
She also said earlier this year that she was considering a 2018 challenge to Democrat Tim Kaine for a U.S. Senate seat representing Virginia, an avenue that would be cut off from her with a nightly program on Fox. The network has been the most-watched network in basic cable in total day viewers for 35 consecutive weeks.
