Hello Games launching new patch soon

Aside from that, it brings in joint exploration, system economics, trade improvements, mission system, a new procedural, portals and lots more, according to the game's official website.

The first and the foremost thing is: whether players should start a new game after installing Update 1.3?

"Visualised by unusual floating orbs, up to 16 players can see and communicate with one another, and explore the universe together", Hello Games explains on its website.

Interestingly, Hello Games had this to add: "While interaction with others is now very limited, this is an important first step into the world of synchronous co-op in No Man's Sky". We knew of Atlas Arises coming, but no one was fully prepared for its 30 hours of new story content.

Hello Games is promising "double the lore and interactions of the existing game"; presumably, the new alien race will provide much of that.

Developer Hello Games has also said the variety and visual quality of different planets has again been expanded and improved, with new planet types also being added to the game. There have been some reports of FPS performance issues with this update so watch out for those when you fire it up.

Hello Games has published a very lengthy page of patch notes for Atlas Rising and detail-oriented No Man's Sky players should check out the update's full offerings. An Xbox One release hasn't been ruled out, but there's no word on when-or if-it will ever come to that console.

"It's been a year since No Man's Sky first released, and it's been an exciting, intense and emotional year for us at Hello Games". It isn't quite multiplayer - you're only able to interact with up to 16 players, who are represented by balls of light - but it's a step closer to it. But if you're like me and fell off due to boredom rather than distaste, then the Atlas Rises update is a great time to jump back in and see what a year's worth of updates has turned No Man's Sky into. Systems will have unique economies which should add more depth and reward to interstellar trading.

The developer has also made bew improvements to space flight and combat, with the enemy artificial intelligence having been overhauled, and new difficulties have been added. It focuses on improving the central story of No Man's Sky and adds the ability to quick travel between locations using portals.

I returned to No Man's Sky still expecting the worst, but was immediately surprised as the planet I had abandoned myself on months ago sprang to life.
