Golden State Warriors Will Try to Get Back On Track vs Timberwolves

Durant hit his third straight jumper to tie it with 2:01 remaining before the Warriors went ahead on Draymond Green's putback the following possession.

Haynes added in the report that the Warriors medical staff was not anxious about the extent of Curry's injury after evaluating the two-time MVP in the locker room.

But then the Spurs did what they have become prone to doing in the fourth quarter and Kevin Durant what he often does. "I probably shouldn't have said anything (to media) in the first place". Before that, they had won seven consecutive games coming out of All-Star break and 10 of 11 overall.

Curry's ankle issues have flared up again this season, and while the Warriors are on a seven-game winning streak, Curry has suffered two ankle sprains in the last week.

Golden State trailed 87-78 going into the final 12 minutes, earning a fourth straight win and eighth in 12 against San Antonio after a 122-105 home victory February 10.

"We have other guys who are pretty good", Kerr said.

San Antonio got a great night out of LaMarcus Aldridge (30 points and 17 rebounds).

The initial reports were that Curry's injury wasn't severe enough to rule him out of playing on the Warriors' upcoming two-game roadtrip entirely. Jason says that the Warriors should consider sitting Curry for the rest of the season to allow him to heal for the playoffs.

"We still have three All-Stars when Steph goes down", Kerr said after the game (ESPN). To keep those "off nights" from hurting them in the postseason, they need to forget about being the No. 1 seed.

Curry is on pace to play his fewest games this season since that injury plagued year in 2011-2012. I should've just waited. With that being said, I'm still taking the Warriors over this struggling Timberwolves outfit who have only covered on two of their last 11 games. West (right arm cyst) and Iguodala (left wrist sprain) are with the team but missed Friday's loss.

"This kind of sustained success is nearly unheard of", Kerr said of the Spurs.
