Wearable major Fitbit has launched its latest smartwatch in India.
Fitbit has unveiled a new smartwatch in hopes of giving Apple'sApple Watch Series 3 a run for its money.
The most notable missing feature is standalone Global Positioning System. That includes the usual fitness tracking stuff like counting the steps, heartbeat as well as user's sleep. And now, the company has launched yet another smartwatch called Fitbit Versa. As of now, the company is yet to confirm the availability of the Fitbit Ace in the Indian market. It's unfortunate reasoning since, compared to their peers south of the border, the majority of Canadian merchants have the necessary equipment to support the platform. The Versa is pitched as an affordable smartwatch with a touchscreen display and a premium design.
The battery life of Fitbit Versa is estimated to be of four days. It can store several hundred songs as well, which users can make good use of during workouts. Fitbit's newest smartwatch also has support for numerous apps including E-Trade, Starbucks, United Airlines, Flipboard, Hue Lights, Nest, Strava, Surfline, Weather and Yelp. At least in the U.S., Deezer will offer a free three-month trial to Fitbit users. Fitbit Versa is smaller than is less fitness focus than the watch Fitbit bought past year.
However, the size bit apart, the Versa can do things that matter the most.
Fitbit has also introduced a female health tracking app, where female users can track their menstrual cycles.
Fitbit, however, promises that the data collection practices of the Fitbit Ace are compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, which will protect the children wearing them from harm.
Fitbit, an Amercian based company, also announced new female health tracking to help women track their menstrual cycle, view holistic health data in one place, and better understand connections to their overall health.
"The new Fitbit Versa still has plenty of fitness-tracking capabilities built in, including on-watch workouts, 24/7 heart-rate monitoring, and personalized fitness tips". Coming shortly is another feature which will enable Android phone users to send quick pre-populated or customizable replies to text messages and messenger apps.
In Canada, Versa will be priced at $249.95 to start, with the special edition models priced at $299.95.
The classic bands will cost $39.95, while the leather bands will be priced at $69.95.
But CEO and cofounder James Park is optimistic the cheaper and more stylish Versa will have larger appeal for fitness enthusiasts.
