First Openly Gay Olympians Share a Kiss, Shade VP Mike Pence

That I'm different, and I think on some level we all feel sort of different and when we are embraced for who we are and speaking our minds it's awesome.

At some point, Rippon also proposed the idea of the tattoos.

The self-confessed "America's sweetheart" of the Winter Olympics, speed skater Adam Rippon is a big fan of Kiwi wine.

Rippon became the first openly gay figure skater to make the USA team, and he joked Tuesday about finding a new flame for Valentine's Day. And Adam Rippon loves to talk. "I am very proud", Kelly Rippon said. "It's something really personal between me and her", Rippon says.

To all those who tweet at me saying that they "hope I fail", I have failed many times many times in my life.

On Monday, he won a bronze medal alongside the United States figure skating team, and though it is traditional for US Olympians to be invited to the White House when they return to America, it is not a trip Rippon will take. "I think it's giving my skating a greater goal", he added. "Seemed like a real nice kid, and he had Olympic aspirations even then as I recall".

Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon said Tuesday he does not want his Olympic debut to turn into a feud with Vice President Mike Pence, despite previously vocally criticizing his politics.

Pence's press secretary Alyssa Farah responded to USA Today Sports, saying "The vice president is proud to lead the US delegation to the Olympics and support America's incredible athletes". It's incredibly powerful this platform that you can have at the Olympic Games.

"It's been pretty fun, though", said video game Rippon. If Adam Rippon doesn't want the Olympics to be about Mike Pence, perhaps he should stop talking about Mike Pence. "And damn dude, he can skate like insane".

The two breakout stars of the U.S. figure skating team are Mirai Nagasu and Adam Rippon.

Rippon is scheduled to compete Friday in the individual figure skating event in PyeongChang, where he has the chance to bring home the gold.
