El Clasico by the numbers: Measuring Real Madrid and Barcelona

"We have the chance to get back in the fight for La Liga in a six-pointer against the side top of the league".

Winning the title against Barcelona might be the holy grail of a Clasico matchup, and Real Madrid might have done so in 07/08-but they were a little too good that year.

Isco replaced the former Tottenham player in both the Champions League victory and Saturday's win over Sporting Gijon, with his performances leading to many fans calling for the Spanish worldwide to retain his place in the side.

The stakes are set even higher ahead of Sunday's clash between Real Madrid and Barcelona at the Bernabeu with both in the running to win the La Liga title.

"It's the rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona, that will always exist".

Neymar has been key for Barcelona this season, scoring nine goals and weighing in with 10 assists from 26 league games. Of course, it would be much better to have him with us, because he is one of the two or three best players in the world.

Barcelona's director of digital, Russell Stopford, agreed with Barnett's emphasis on the need for a better understanding around social media's value. So, believe me, an "El Clasico" is different, it doesn't matter the position on the table, it doesn't matter what happened the last week, the last month, the last day.

"I think the big clubs can not stop from signing new players and renewing the squad every single year because it is too demanding to be there because they have to be always first, they have to be champions in all the competitions that they play". In contrast, Barcelona have won just two of their previous five in all competitions and were dumped out of Europe in midweek.

Ramos is Madrid's perennial hero, the man who scores last-minute goals to win cup finals and keep the team alive when all hope seems lost.

Last season, Barca claimed and emphatic 4-0 victory over Real at the Bernabeu thanks to goals from Luis Suarez, Neymar and Andres Iniesta, and Rakitic says they will be going all out for victory again. The Bianconeri played a style of football that is suited to them and did it very well.
